About Growing Families International
After observing the last generation of young families, Gary and Anne Marie
Ezzo realized that parents were in desperate need of help. They quickly
discovered that not all families had the benefit of understanding how Biblical
principles could apply to their lives. After years of Biblical study and their
own practical experience, the Ezzos began discipling others. Those families
became excellent testimonies and as a result many more came for guidance.
In 1989 the Ezzos founded Growing Families International, the organization
that now supports their work. Well over 3,000 classes are conducted in churches
and communities throughout the world. God has blessed this ministry exceedingly
abundantly beyond all that they could have asked or thought (Ephesians 3:20).
This success is most likely due to the fact that from the beginning until now,
the ministry goals have remained unchanged.
5 Goals of Growing Kids God's Way
- To raise a godly generation to the
glory of God and not to the glory
of man.
- To provide practical instruction
that will help parents understand
not only the principles of Biblical
ethics but how to make the
application as well.
- To instill confidence in each and
every parent who participates in
any of the classes, a confidence
that God's Word is sufficient
both in truth and practice (with
confidence comes competency in
parenting).
- To help families look positively
toward the teen years. Although
our culture claims teenage
rebellion to be the norm, parents
can take heart - this is not what
the Bible teaches.
- Establishing a Biblical mind set
for parenting, a mind set that can
be passed on from generation to
generation, is our fifth goal.
Topics include:
- How to raise a morally
responsible child

avoid legalism in parenting

when children lie, steal, or
cheat
